Stratford Point Lighthouse

Located in Stratford, CT,  The Stratford Point Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse in Stratford, Connecticut

Located at the mouth of the Housatonic River. The second tower was one of the first prefabricated cylindrical lighthouses in the country and remains active, Automated in 1970 First lit in 1881 then opened in 1822, Materials used were brick and cast iron, I drove with my husband to the end of a dead street, we took several photos, I worked off those photos to create this painting. It’s closed to the public and without a boat trip this is how it looks from the street.

Thanks for looking!
